Each year in the Republic of Ireland, approximately ten thousand people attend hospital as a result of a head injury which may result in permanent symptoms and which symptoms are unique to each and every individual concerned. Individuals who have an acquired brain injury often have complex rehabilitation needs. Progress and recovery are also unique to each individual.
